Image Color Picker
Extract, refine, sort and export colors locally
Choose an image or take a photo; processing stays on your device. Extract and refine colors, reorder the palette, then export it or continue in Studio.
Drop an image here
Your image stays in this browser. Qolorio does not upload it.
Samples: 0 / 10
Choose, drop or photograph an image. Then analyze automatically, click or tap the image, or focus the image and press Enter to add a sample point.
What does the Image Color Picker do?
There are palettes hiding in images.
Choose a photo, illustration or screenshot. Qolorio turns it into a usable palette in your browser, without uploading the file.
You can let Qolorio analyze the image automatically, place your own sample points or combine both approaches until the colors feel right.
Use the result as inspiration, refine individual colors, reorder the palette, export it in the format you need or take the finished palette into Studio.
You can remove the current image at any time and start again with another photo, illustration or screenshot.
Extract colors automatically
Choose an analysis mode and Qolorio looks for colors that match that direction.
Use Dominant for the colors that appear most strongly in the image, or explore alternatives such as Vibrant, Muted, Dark, Light, Warm and Cool.
Change the number of colors when you want a tighter palette or more detail.
The same image can tell more than one color story.
Pick the exact colors yourself
Automatic extraction is useful, but sometimes you already know which part of the image matters.
Add sample points directly to the image and move them to the exact places you want to inspect.
This makes it easy to pick the blue from a piece of fabric, the green from a landscape, a skin tone, a painted detail or one tiny color that the automatic analysis might overlook.
Automatic finds patterns. Manual lets you choose what matters.
Lock the colors you want to keep
Found a color that should stay?
Lock its sample before analyzing the image again.
Qolorio preserves locked colors while the remaining samples can change, so you can keep the good discoveries and continue exploring the rest.
This is useful when part of the palette already feels right but you are not finished yet.
Your image stays local
Your image is processed in your browser.
When you choose, drop or photograph an image, Qolorio reads and analyzes the image locally on your device.
The image is not uploaded to Qolorio for color extraction.
This lets you explore photographs, screenshots, artwork and other images without sending the image itself to Qolorio just to discover its colors.
Your image. Your device. Your colors.
Shape the palette before you use it
Extracted colors are a starting point.
Edit or lock individual colors, use the swap controls to change positions or add another color manually.
You can also order the complete palette by HEX, from light to dark, from dark to light or in a logical color order. If you swap colors manually, the palette switches to Random / manual order.
Export uses the exact order shown on screen and lets you choose the color or code format you need. Choose Use in Studio when you want to continue with semantic roles, realistic previews, contrast tests and system exports.
A photograph gives you colors. You decide which ones belong together.
